Une délégation du ministère national des Mines séjourne actuellement à Bunia, chef-lieu de la province de l’Ituri, à la suite de l’arrestation du chef de la division provinciale des Mines par les autorités judiciaires militaires. Cette mission officielle est conduite par M. Albert Sengar, conseiller du ministre national des Mines.
Selon les informations recueillies, la délégation est venue s’enquérir de la situation administrative et judiciaire au sein de la division provinciale, évaluer les circonstances ayant conduit à l’arrestation du responsable, et proposer des mesures correctives pour assurer le bon fonctionnement des services miniers dans la province.
Au cours de son séjour, M. Sengar et son équipe ont été reçus en audience par le gouverneur militaire de l’Ituri. Une réunion de travail s’est tenue dans le cabinet du gouverneur, au cours de laquelle ce dernier a présenté un exposé détaillé sur le contexte et les circonstances de l’affaire. Il a également réaffirmé l’engagement du gouvernement provincial à collaborer avec le ministère national afin de garantir la transparence et la stabilité dans le secteur minier.
La délégation prévoit de visiter le lieu de détention du chef de division mis en cause, ainsi que les bureaux provinciaux des Mines, dans le but d’évaluer le climat de travail et de recueillir les témoignages des agents sur place.
Cette mission illustre la volonté du ministère national des Mines de restaurer la confiance entre les institutions publiques et les acteurs du secteur minier, considéré comme stratégique pour l’économie nationale. Le rapport final attendu devrait permettre de clarifier les responsabilités et de proposer des solutions durables pour améliorer la gouvernance minière en Ituri.
